Howe communities raise £1466 during the World's Biggest Coffee Morning

The 27 Sep 08 was a busy old day for many Howe communities who threw open their doors as part of the 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
In Collessie around 20 folk enjoyed the spread at The Steadings were £150 was raised (£1.50 more than at a similar event two years ago). So many donations were received that a spontaneous raffle was held - raising £25 on its own.
The event in Muchty's Upper Town Hall netted £703.50 for Macmilan, including £78 from Janette & Nettie who held a coffee morning on the Friday.
In Strath Maragret and the team raised £300 thanks to the efforts of bakers and donors.
Whilst in Falkland £313 was raised by a hardworking group of ladies.
Not a bad effort of a Saturday morning serving coffee!
Thanks to all who gave generously of time, talent, effort, £ and produce to make the various events so successful. All funds will go tosupport patient with cancer and their families and carers.
