Youngsters are called to be arty. An Art competition for primary schools has been organised at Falkland palace. Pupils are called to entry a painting, drawing, collage or other medium which reflects the gardens that Mary Queen of Scotts would have enjoyed. All entries will be exhibited in the Town Hall on Satruday 25 and Sunday 26 October. Entries must be submitted by 1 October. Satish Kumar - "Reconnecting with food".“ Sadly, in the modern world most of us know not how to wait, how to fast nor, for that matter, how to feast.” The Sixth Annual Stewardship Lecture at the House of Falkland will be delivered by Satish Kumar, one of the country’s leading humanitarian activists. Satish is editor of Resurgence Magazine, which has been described as ‘the artistic and spiritual voice of the green movement’. He is founder and Director of Schumacher College as well as an internationally acclaimed author and speaker. Satish will deliver a lecture that focuses on our lost links with food and the impact it has on climate change.
