    78th Fife (Auchtermuchty)Scout Group will once again be delivering post this year. Post Boxes will be in The Chemist, Londis & Rollo, Davidson, McFarlane's-Auchtermuchty. The Store-Dunshalt & David Sands-Strathmiglo. Each card costs 20p to post and deliveries will be made to Auchtermuchty, Dunshalt & Strathmiglo. Last date for posting is Friday 19th Dec.   3. Restaurant at the End of the World

    Pillars of Hercules occasional restaurant is opening again on Friday nights. Tonight delicious seasonal food will be produced by local chef Christopher Trotter. It's the best of vegetarian food (plus carnivorous option), all organic of course, served up in a congenial atmosphere with live jazz music. Set price menu is £28 per person (£30 for carnivores). 3 courses & coffee. We do not have a table licence but feel free to bring your own alcoholic drinks (no corkage charge).     Concert with Christmas Theme in Auchtermuchty Church Sunday 7th December at 7pm. Tickets £5 & £3 conc, available soon & at the door. Proceeds from this concert will be shared by Auchtermuchty and Edenshead & Strathmiglo Churches & Tullis Russell Band.
  6. Letham Nights #1: The Moonzie Allstars

    Friday 12th December at Letham Village Hall: “Letham Nights” - an exciting new community venture - presents music from the Moonzie Allstars and guests. (Previously advertised Sidelock will sadly no longer appear). Entry: £6 / £4 concession; all ages welcome. Bar Provided by North Howe Travelling Transition Tavern. Local music, local beer, local entertainment - not to be missed. Bring a friend and neighbour - and look out for future dates on this portal!

    Transition Falkland invite you to a gathering / information event / party at Falkland Town Hall on Dec 13th. Between 2pm and 7pm there will be stalls and films. And from 7pm to 11pm a dance. Highlights include: - a christmas present swapshop; exchange don't buy - stories - workshops - crafts - drumming - local food - local travel - village facilities - energy information - insulation, grants - tribal dancers - folk, jazz, ceilidh band and caller It's all free and everyone is welcome.     Join the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust Ranger Service and get to know the colourful world of winter wildfowl. Dogs allowed. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Please reserve a space to avoid disappointment.

    The Scottish National Blood Transfusion Service needs your help. If you haven't given blood before, pop alog to Falkland Village Hall this afternoon and find out how easy it is. Your blood can help save or improve the lives of up to 3 people, so go on, give it a go.

    An evening of Music and Readings for Advent and Christmas presented by an ensemble of the Scottish Vienna Horn Society. Set in the beautiful chapel at Falkland Palace with Christmas refreshments served. Cost £10/£8 (concession and Friends of Falkland's Heritage).
