From Dawn McGinty,
Tuesday, 3rd June, 2008
We've (the PTA) had a fantastic fundraising year and aim to top it off with a great summer fete on Saturday June 7 from 1.30 till 3pm. As usual there will be lots of lovely goodies on sale at stands including Toys Plants Homebakery, Strawberries , Tea & Scones (Cream and Jam a distinct possibility) Usborne Books and more, plus loads of fun-filled activities for the kids including Face painting, Welly Boot Throwing and Beat the Goalies (football and Netball). Of course we need your help.
Home baking and tablet donations please on the morning of the fete (or friday Afternoon). Donations please for Tombola, Raffle and we'd really appreciate some quality items for out auction, including services - car washing, mow a lawn, or do some housework!. As ever we need helpers on the day, and would like to encourage some of the older children to help out. And dont forget to spread the word. Friends and relatives all welcome. The more the merrier! FREE ENTRY
Here is an update of some of the things PTA has funded this year:
Training Bibs and Footballs, Tartan Sashes, School treats (Circus acrobatic act Eduardo Sanchez and the forthcoming "Call of the Loon Bird"), digi-blue cameras, enrichment activities for school projects, professional childrens illustrator, P7 bus for residential trip, items for school's Sensory Garden and new play equipment for next years P1.
We owe a big thanks to all parents, carers and staff who helped with our bag packing fundraisers at ASDA and Sainsbury. We raised over £900 in total. Thanks also to Mr Bissett, who is always very supportive to the PTA. We will publish a fuller update at the end of the current school session.
