New Forest Education Initiative in Howe of Fife
From Chris Childe,
Thursday, 11th March, 2010
A new Forest Education Initiative (FEI), run by the Forestry Commission has been set up in the Howe of Fife.
The aim of the FEI and our local group is to connect people to their local woodlands and associated industries. We are setting up a Forest School training course. Forest School is similar to Forest Kindergarten that many nurseries are involved with.
We are also running Forest Education training sessions in March, June and October, for people to gain confidence as forest education leaders. If you would like to be on the Forest School training course or attend the taster training sessions in Forest Education or would like to help with the group please contact us. Our meeting dates and location are not set up in advance currently.
Anyone living in or near the Howe of Fife is welcome to join us.
