Become a Friend of Auchtermuchty Common

From Heather Winship, Macduff Trust, Wednesday, 7th May, 2008

Did you know that Auchtermuchty Common is one of the last examples of semi-natural grassland in Scotland?

Did you know it is home to many rare butterflies, an abundance of plant and animal life and has been classified as an important Wildlife Site by the Scottish Wildlife Trust?

All the more reason then to ensure it is conserved appropriately for the benefit of all.

That's why the Macduff Trust invites those interested in preserving Muchty's natural heritage to consider becoming a Friend of Auchtermuchty Common.

Friends are asked to make a monthly (or annual) donation to the Trust to support Common mangement e.g. insurance, purchse of tools, hiring maintenance equipment etc. The Trust is a voluntary, non-profit organisation and your contribution will really make a difference to the conservation, preservation and protection the common land for future generations.

Please complete the Friends application form or contact the Macduff Trust directly.
