Bob Haxton of Gateside, who died on February 8, was one of twin boys born during a snowstorm at Bannaty Mill Farm, just west of the village, on March 6, 1917. Bob, the younger twin by 20 minutes, lived in Bower Park, Gateside.

A record sum to be invested in affordable housing is to benefit Fife and Tayside.

Thousands of people across Fife are being encouraged to stub out and seek help to kill the habit.

Plans are being mooted by Fife Council to try out a scheme whereby small rural schools could share a headteacher.

But concerns have been voiced by Ladybank Community Council about road safety at the access point from the A92 trunk road and about infrastructure.
