Auchtermuchty couple Brian & Liz Slattery are celebrating after their vintage wedding car business Baincraig Cars, was nominated in the Scottish Wedding Industry VOWS (Voted Outstanding Wedding Supplier) award scheme.

Howe of Fife & Tay Coast Cllr Donald Lothian has welcomed Fife Council's decision to look at the operation of the pedestrian crossing at Falkland Primary School & Nursery, in light of continuing concern about safety at its current location.

Freuchie Community Council are reporting back to villagers on the results of the consultation on the £25,000 that has been allocated for 'environmental improvement' following the development at Walter Lumsden Court. Residents are invited to a meeting at the Lumsden Memorial Hall on Monday 1st December at 7.30pm to learn which projects will be followed up.

It is already illegal to drink in public in many towns and villages in Fife and it has been suggested that such a ban should be introduced to Muchty. Exceptions can be made for events such as the Christmas Fair, the Festival and Hogmanay but it would stop thoughtless individuals causing annoyance at other times. Auchtermuchty Theatre Group will be performing 'Dick Whittington' by Bob Heather from Monday 1 to Saturday 6 December from 7:30pm in the Victoria Hall.
