Eating and drinking

Ladybank TavernThe newly refurbished Ladybank Tavern offers a cosy atmosphere, tasty homemade meals (with an emphasis on quality, local produce) and fine beers and wines. Its Award Winning restaurant is open for Morning Coffee, Lunch, High Tea and Dinner. Breakfast is available by prior appointment. And there's often live music to enjoy too.

Attractions

Most families visiting the area come to enjoy the Scottish Deer Centre and Fife Animal Park, two of the largest tourist attractions in the Howe. Others visit to ‘get away from it all' and enjoy recreational pursuits such as walking, cycling and golfing.

No discussion of tourism in Ladybank would be complete without reference to its most widely known attraction, Ladybank Golf Club.

Set amongst pine trees, heather and birch, the Club is home to a course of Championship status (Par 71, 6754 yards). Its two loops of nine holes are said to be a serious test of accuracy - one not to be missed by keen golfers. Visitors are most welcome to play between 9.30am - 12 noon & 1.15pm - 4pm, Monday to Friday, also Sunday by arrangement with the Secretary. Tee times can be requested on-line.

Shops & Services

Ladybank is well stocked with local grocery and convenience stores including Spar, Ladybank Supersave, and The Papershop.

People travel from all around to buy their meat and veg from award winning butcher R H Water & Sons (Butchers) whilst Ladybank Post Office offers postal services and confectionary.

There is a Royal Bank of Scotland branch and cash machine on Commercial Road.

Family History

Of course many visitors come to Fife to trace their own family history.  Your Scottish Kin is a Ladybank-based Scottish family research service, who can help you create or fill in the gaps in your personal family history.

Ancestral Scotland can also help those researching their family history or considering a first trip to Scotland from overseas.
