Police seek info on local crimes - Star of Markinch & Newport

Police Officers in North East Fife are currently investigating two crimes reported yesterday (Monday 29th September) and are seeking the assistance of the public to help shed light on the identity of the perpetrator(s). 

In the early hours of Monday morning a white coloured Mitsubishi Canter recovery truck was stolen from the driveway of a house in the Star of Markinch area. The vehicle is an 'R' registration. Being a breakdown truck the vehicle should stand out from others and any sightings of this vehicle or knowledge as to its whereabouts or those responsible for its theft are sought. 

Between Thursday night (25th September) and Monday morning (29th September) some person has forced entry to the shed at Newport Bowling Club in Scott Street. The thief stole a petrol strimmer and chain saw valued at £150.00.

Any information regarding any suspicious activity in the area or knowledge as to who is responsible is also requested.   Information can be passed to Fife Police by calling 0845 600 5702 or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where the caller will be treated anonymously and may be liable to a reward.
