Fife's core path network: your views wanted

Fifers are being invited to gve their views on proposed core path routes over the next 12 weeks as part of the draft core path plan public consultation process.

Comment forms are available online at www.fifedirect.org.uk/corepaths and at the Cupar Development Services Office, local service centres and libraries.

The draft plan identifies that routes that give the public reasonable access to fife by foot, cyclng, horseriding and over water (including disabled access). The network is in addition to the cycle and coastal paths network.

Planning committe chair Cllr John Beare said Fife Council aimed t0 'create more leisure and culture opportunities, encourage 'green transportation and support local tourism.'

The statutory public consultation period runs from Friday August 8th to Friday October 31st 2008. Everyone has the opportunity to make objections and representations to the Plan's proposals.
