  1. Transition Towns Talk - Cupar

    Wednesday, 2nd July, 2008

    The North Howe Transition Toun group are hosting a talk on how local people can work together to promote sustainable ways of living, in the Cupar Farm Shop on July 2nd. Eva Schofield of Transition Scoland Support will lead the discussion, which will consdier the peak of global oil production, the seriousness of climate change and what local communities can do to make a difference. Come along to find out why Transition Touns are needed and how they can be created.
  2. Squirrel Stroll

    Thursday, 3rd July, 2008

    Join the Red Squirrel Offier for a stroll through Ladybank Forest and learn more about the conservation measures that are taking place to conserve this native species. Walking boots required. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Organised by the Fife Coast and Countryside Trust Ranger Service. Please book to be sure of a place. Meet at Golf Street, Level Crossing, Ladybank
  3. Summer Ceilidh!

    Support the Ladybank Ladybirds and have fun at our family Summer Ceilidh featuring The Sandy Anderson Ceilidh Band. Venue: the Masonic Hall on Sat 5th July, 7.30pm till late. Tickets are £10 per adult £3 per child, available from the committee, at Ladybird sessions or by telephoning 01337 831280. A supper will be included and bar facilities are available. Ladybank Ladybirds are 40 years old next year and ongoing support is needed to help us age gracefully!
  4. Ladies Night (featuring The Boys from G Force)

    If you fancy a girls night out - then don't miss The Boys from "G" Force performing at Ladybank Tavern on Sat July 12th from 7.30pm. Tickets £10 available from the Tavern or Ladybank Newsagents. Ticket price includes disco and entertainment, male entertainment, buffet and free entry into the prize draw.
  5. Fife Farmers Market - Cupar

    Cupar Farmers’ Market is held on the Third Saturday of every month. Likely producers include Iain Spink (Traditional Smokies From Arbroath), Puddledub Buffalo and Pork, Bellfield Organic Nursery, Caurnie Soap Co, Gartmorn Farm Poultry, Fletchers of Auchtermuchty and Hilton Wild Boar.   6. Big Tent Festival 2008

    Saturday, 26th July, 2008 — Sunday, 27th July, 2008

    The Big Tent is a weekend of celebrations, music, art and creativity which champions the work of the environmental movement and those concerned with the conservation of the living world. A rich and diverse cast of artisans, musicians and performers from all over the world will perform against the beautiful backdrop of Falkland Palace, transforming the normal tranquil, historic Fife village of Falkland into a riot of colour and activity. Headline music acts include King Creosote and the Fence Collective and the Peatbog Faeries. A campsite is added this year as well as a Food Village featuring local and organic. There will also be zones featuring environmental lifestyle, renewable energy, holistic therapies and treatments as well as a fantastic children's area. All this plus a dynamic programme of debates featuring the very best in 'Big Green Thinking' and contributions from writers, scientists, academics and inspiring individuals involved in safeguarding the future of Planet Earth.   7. LADYBANK GARDEN COMPETITION 2008

    This Years competiotion will be judged the week of the 28th of July. Entry forms are available at the Spar ot the Paper Shop. Completed forms must be recieved by the 15th of June. There will be 3 categories: Small , Other, and for the first time Tubs and Baskets.
