Ladybank Community Trust seeks youth input

From Fife Herald, Sunday, 1st June, 2008

A community trust has now been set up for the community of Ladybank. This organisation will enable funding to be accessed to provide facilities and services that can be made available to all people within the Ladybank area.

This funding can help host community events, meetings, sporting facilities, youth projects and many more services that will benefit the community.

The trust will be a partnership organisation.

There is potential for the trust to be involved in the regeneration of the area providing long term sustainability and accountability to the people of Ladybank.

The trust could be a catalyst to promote and support economic activity and provide commercial opportunities by encouraging training facilities and advancing activities such as tourism and inward investment.

It is also within its scope to improve local services, amenities and the environment and provide local solutions to local needs.

In order for the group to succeed, involvement is required from a wide cross-section of the public - the school, community groups, businesses and organisations.

The steering group of the Ladybank Development Trust  wish the young poeple of the community to be involved at the initial stages of trust formation and are requesting their help in the form of a competition to design a logo.

As well as working with Ladybank Primary School, entry forms area available at the Youth Club, the Paper Shop and Spar Ladybank
