The Farm Shop

We are a family run business and specialise in a range of seasonal fresh produce, most of which is grown on the farm. Muddy Boots is home to 57 different crops throughout the year, ensuring a plentiful supply of produce that's otherwise hard to obtain locally. Varieties are carefully selected for their flavour not their shelf-life. We sell

• local preserves
• home baked cakes and tablet
• our own free range eggs
• traditional meat breeds

Farm Shop opening times
Summer: Mon to Sat: 9am to 6pm,  Sun: 10am to 5pm
Winter: Sun to Thur: 10am to 4pm, Fri & Sat: 9am to 5pm

Seasons Cafe

The conservatory cafe is spacious and contemporary and offers a wide variety of delicious home cooked meals and snacks including crepes, soup, home-baking, and lots of child freindly dishes. It has comfy sofas and there's a covered kids play area - perfect for allowing parents a quiet coffee even when the weather is bad.

Summer: Mon to Sat: 9am to 5pm,  Sun: 10am to 5pm
Winter: Mon to Sat: 10am to 5pm,  Sun: 10am to 4.30pm
The last kitchen order is 30 mins before closing.

For the Kids

Muddy Boots is seriously kid-friendly and we aim to see families enjoying a fun experience. That's why we don't charge adults to join in! As well as a kids menu in the cafe, there is children's entertainment in the form of

• Muddy Munchkins - (the under 7's outdoor play area) which includes gyro cars, a jumping pillow, tractor track, sandpit, playhouse & tyre swings 
• super downhill grass sledging (payable at shop) suitable for all ages
• twin seat trikes and a quad train (all ages)
• a giant jumping pillow (Over 7's)
• an advanced trike track (Over 11's)
• and new for 2010, a huge covered play area with seating for parents

Play area prices may vary throughout the year. Loyalty cards like our new Ultimate Play pass £8 and Ride, Slide & Bounce pass £5 (not incl quad train), offer great value. Please call to check out the weather if concerned, as our play bands are non refundable in the event of rain.

Pottery Painting 

Pottery painting at Muddy Boots is the ideal way to enjoy time with family & friends and make personal gifts. For the kids we have a fun range of animal ornaments, bowls, trinket boxes and money boxes to paint their own designs onto. Or make a plate, mug or photo-frame with hand and foot prints - a great way to capture baby days forever. For adults there are jugs, spoon rests, plates, bowls vases and soap dishes. Using very simple techniques you can create a work of art to be proud of (no artistic ability required!) Pottery starts from £3.25 and studio fees (covering paint, glazing and firing) is £2.50. Open Tues to Sun 10am to 5pm. Evening group bookings can be made for 10 or more people.

Party Time

Kids birthday coming up? Choose from the following party / catering options:

Outdoor Party - £6.50 per person. 2 hours of play including a quad train ride, grass sledging, the jumping pillow and trikes. A staff member will be on hand to assist if required.  weather dependent (we suggest you selecta 2nd option in case the weather disappoints).

Pottery painting party - £6.50 per person.  This allows children to paint either a coaster, small animal, Xmas tree ornament or mug. Approx 1.5 hours. Items are left to be fired / glazed and can be collected later.

Halloween 2011 - this halloween come and join us for Spooktacular Fun by day sutable for children 3-8yrs Lots of halloween fun- Games, Dooking for apples and Ghost tales running Sat 29th & sun 30th Oct 1-2.30pm or 3- 4.30pm

Experience the Dary side of Muddy Boots 

Spooktacular -sat 29th & sun 30th 5.30-7pm. Monday 31st 4.30-6pm & 6.30-8pm

 Scary- sat 29th & sun 30th 7.30-9pm (this is very Scary and only over 8yrs allowed!!)

Both Spooktacular and scary will have Ghost train rides(night time quad rides)

Halloween Festival:Come to Muddy Boots the weekend of 30 & 31 Oct 2010 for a spectacular halloween festival including party games, barbecue, lantern parade, ghost train and haunted house. Beware, we turn up the scare factor from 8pm!
