Health Services in the Howe of Fife
Doctors
There are two health centres in the Howe of Fife.
- The Auchtermuchty Health Centre on Carswell Wynd has 4 GPs, is open Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm, and runs a Strathmiglo branch surgery. Strathmiglo consulting times are Thursday 9.30am to 11.30am. Please phone Auchtermuchty for an appointment.
- The Howe of Fife Medical Practice on Commercial St, Ladybank also has 4 GPs. Its opening hours are
Mon 8.40am to 11am then 2pm to 6pm
Tue, Wed & Fri 8.40am to 11am then 1.30pm to 5.40pm
Thurs 8.40am to 11am then 2pm to 5.40pm
Ladybank is also home to a NHS Community Clinic.

Dentists & Opticians
Auchtermuchty Dental Practice will open its doors sometime in 2008 and is currently accepting registrations.
There are no opticians locally, but there are numerous in nearby Glenrothes / Cupar.

Pharmacists
There are two pharmacists in the Howe.
- L Rowland & Co on Auchtermuchty High Street and
- W Davidson & Son, Ladybank
When pharmacists are closed, prescriptions marked URGENT and endorsed by the doctor will be dispensed on applying to NHS 24 or by contacting your local police station.
Hospitals
