		Vintage vehicle rally a success The Fife Association of Vintage Vehicle Owners 22nd Rally at Brucefield created a jolly scene around Giffordtown last weekend.
		The Chill Grill now open (& delivering lunch!) The Howe Country Centre has opened its new 'Chill Grill Cafe'. Pop in between 10am & 2pm, Mon to Fri for Paninis, salads, hot & cold snacks etc - all fresh and homemade.
		Giffordtown coffee morning Join us for the first coffee morning after the summer break on Thurs 16 Sep at 10.30am, an opportunity for a a get-together for villagers at the Giffordtown Village Hall. Donation, £1.
		Fruit & produce sale Giffordtown Village Hall will be holding an autumn fruit and produce afternoon on Sun 19 Sep, 2-4pm. Stalls will be selling lots of local produce including apples, pears and plums, cut flowers, jams and preserves.

Giffordtown & its neighbours, Edentown & Charlottetown, are the largest settlements in the District, which stretches from Dunshelt in the west to Ladybank in the east and includes Birnie & Gaddon Lochs, Kinloch plus a few outlying farms.

The term 'howe' means hollow or low-lying, and this area, which is central to the Howe of Fife, matches this description well.

The flat land here is dotted with farms. It's a peaceful place to come home to and a great area in which to enjoy the outdoors (when the weather is friendly!)
