The Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) warned yesterday that the weather forecast for the next few days indicated more rain and possible outbreaks of thunder and lightning on the east coast, with the risk of further flooding.

An entire cul-de-sac in Freuchie has been devastated after heavy rain hit Fife again. More than a dozen homes in Freuchie Mill were flooded, with furniture and possessions ruined, and at least 20 cars have been destroyed.

FIFE Council has acted swiftly to restore the reputation of Freuchie Primary school in the wake of a damning report by inspectors.

Proposed core paths for Strathmiglo, Ladybank, Gateside, Falkland, Auchtermuchty and the Lomond Hills have been drawn up after two years of consultation. Fife Council invites your comment re major omissions or errors prior to the formal statutory consultation stage which will probably take place from the beginning of April 2008.
