From Stuart Maxwell,

Ever thought about karate? Well now's your chance. Shukokai Karate Fife is now enrolling new members for 2010.
2009 was a really successful year for Shukokai students. Both the junior and youth students attained medals at various regional, national, and international competitions. The highlight was Linzi McCann becoming the 1st ever junior student to obtain a medal in the British Karate Federation Championships "disabled Kata category". Read more about Linzi's success here.

Of course the students have no time to rest on their laurels - the 2010 calender is already full!
The highlight for Fife students this year will be the 1st ever inter-school, inter-region karate tournament, to be held at Kirkcaldy High School on Sunday 6th June. This unique competition is being run by Kobe Osaka Scotland and Fife Education Authority in support of the British armed forces charity Help for Heroes. Shukokai students have already raised a phenomenal £2600 for this worthwhile cause and we hope this event will help us support them even more.
If our success in 2009 and exciting plans for 2010 aren't enough, here are a few more reasons to consider joining Shukokai:
- wide range of classes from beginner to advanced KATAS
- classes held across Fife in 4+ venues (including Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Falkland & Auchtermuchty)
- Sport Karate & regular competitions
- Regular squad training / impact work
- Regular courses with some of the world's top instructors
- Full insurance cover
- Disclosure Scotland certified
- Sport Scotland coach certified
- affiliated to Kobe Osaka International
- members of Scottish Karate governing body and World Karate Federation
