New orchard commemorates 'Freuchie's Glorious Weekend'

Members of the victorious 1985 Freuchie Cricket team and Freuchie Primary School children planted 13 fruit trees in Freuchie Primary School's new orchard on Sunday 5th September.

The event was held to commemorate Freuchie's victory over Rowledge in the National Village Cricket Championship at Lords, 25 years ago.

Planting the new orchard at Freuchie Primary, 4.9.10The plaque on the wall reads,

"Orchard trees planted by the 1985
Freuchie X111 Cricket team
and pupils from
Freuchie Primary School
to mark 25 year's since
Freuchie won at Lord's
Celebrating Fife, 4th September 2010"
