Sadly the 2008 Village cup competition has had to be cancelled due to lack of support. Over 500 entry forms were distributed to houses throughout the village and beyond but only 5 entry forms were received - disappointing, especially as Freuchie is full of summer colour in spite of its weather. The team are eager that this lack of support not affect the 2009 competition, so suggestions and promises of support would be gratefully received.

Mr Bill Ronald was this year's judge in the Best Kept Town & Village competition. He visited Freuchie last Tuesday and seemed impresssed - we await his verdict! Judging was based on the positive aspects of the community and the environment, which of course included the planting throughout the village.
