Freuchie environmental improvements - your input please

From Ewen Jardine, Secretary, Monday, 9th June, 2008

Freuchie Community Council is widening its consultation to discover suitable projects for the £25,000 funding available for environmental improvements.

The open session at the Lumsden Memorial Hall brought a large number of suggestions, primarily from the older generation. Most popular ideas were

  • support for the younger generation
  • assistance for local clubs and facilities, and
  • recreational activities.

A questionnaire is now available in Freuchie Post Office to show some of the proposals and ask for further ideas. Secretary Ewen Jardine said that the community council would like to hear from all villages, " I would encourage aall ages in the village to give their ideas of what they would like to see." There is a suggestion box at the Post Office for questionnaires or residents can talk to one of the commuinty councillors.
