Freuchie Scout News: 16 June 08

Scouts took part last Friday in the annual mid-night hike from Freuchie to the top of the East Lomond and on to Falkland, then home to Freuchie. The weather was kind, and once again this proved to be a popular event in the year's programme.
When the Scouts returned from an outdoor activity after their weekly meeting, they were met by two female Swedish Scouts who had been dropped off locally as part of an outdoor camping and hiking activity. They were part of a group of 20 Scouts who have been left in this area, who must all negotiate their way to a site near Killin/Bridge of Balgie in ten days. The two Scouts, Linda and Camilla, are with the Aby NSF Scoutkar Group in Sweden, situated in Konsumragen, near Norrkoping. The visitors met with Freuchie Scouts in the Scout Hall, taking photographs of the 'international' occasion.
