Freuchie Community Council meeting Monday 1st December
Monday, 1st December, 2008
Freuchie Community Council are reporting back to villagers on the results of the consultation on the £25,000 that has been allocated for 'environmental improvement' following the development at Walter Lumsden Court. Residents are invited to a meeting at the Lumsden Memorial Hall on Monday 1st December at 7.30pm to learn which projects will be followed up. Chair, Patrick Laughlin, said that all of the feedback and survey results gathered over the last few months have been considered. He said that, ideally, the main aims of the funding should be to support projects which impact positively on the largest numbers of local people; to support projects which have lasting benefits and to ensure that projects supported are sustainable, both economically and environmentally. The projects that meet these criteria will be unveiled at the meeting and it is hoped that there will be a good turn out to "fine tune" the proposals. The Community Council is to investigate sources of matched funding for suggested projects. -
