Are you or do you know someone who is visually impaired?

From Laura McIntosh, Thursday, 24th April, 2008

Or do you simply find it difficult to get out and about?

Need help with transport?

WRVS offer a Good Neighbours/Community Transport service across Fife.  We can offer transport and support to enable you to access NHS and Local Authority services, visit friends, attend social events as well as help with every-day tasks such as visiting your Post Office, chemist or local shops.

This service is free for those who are registered blind or visually impaired and resident in East Fife.  This is possible because of funds awarded through The Lady Margaret Skiffington Trust.  For anyone else wishing to use this service there is a reasonable cost attached.

WRVS also operate two wheelchair accessible minibuses which are available for use by eligible groups in East Fife at an affordable cost - This service is provided in conjunction with Fife Council Transportation Services.

WRVS also provides interesting volunteering opportunities for anyone who would like to become more active in their community.  WRVS is actively recruiting volunteers across Fife, so give us a call and see what volunteering with WRVS could do for you.

For more information about any of the services available or to become a volunteer, please contact the WRVS office on 01333 730309 or FifeCT.EastNeuk@wrvs.org
