With quality musicians like these, it's sure to be a great music event, so grab your tickets while you can. Doors open 7.20pm. Bar. Tickets: £10 adult, £8 under 16. The Tannahill Weavers are one of Scotland 's premier traditional bands. Their diverse repertoire spans the centuries with fire-driven instrumentals, topical songs, and original ballads and lullabies. Their music demonstrates to old and young alike the rich musical heritage of the Celtic people. These versatile musicians have received worldwide accolades consistently over the years for their exuberant performances and outstanding recording efforts that seemingly can't get better...yet continue to do just that. Tiriodh’ are a young ceilidh band based in central Fife. The band is made up of four cousins, Scot Wilson (18), Craig McNicol (16), and their younger brothers, Niall Wilson (14) and Ross McNicol (12). They formed in 2001 while on an annual family holiday to the Hebridean island of Tiree, which is where the band name comes from, as ‘Tiriodh’ is Gaelic for Tiree. The band is mainly influenced by west coast music, a major contributor being the Tiree band ‘Skipinnish’. There is also a small wealth of musical experience within the band itself. For more on the musicians, see website. -
