Annual festivals

The Falkland Festival is a week of traditional music and fun community events held annually each June. Historically it has featured some outstanding local and visiting musicians. It is sure to be a cracking addition to the community calendar in 2010, so watch this space for more.  Juggler at Falkland Festival Street parade

The Big Tent Festival, Scotland's biggest Eco-Festival, and one of the biggest dates on the Falkland calendar takes place in July each year. Highlights of this 2 day festival include live music from an array of folk, world and jazz musicians; a range of visitor zones (Wild About Wood, One Planet Food Village, Earth Action Talks & Climate Champions in 2009); cookery demos; a huge Family zone and a campsite. Check out the Big Tent website for more.  Big Tent 2009 - Poster
