Falkland Community Consultation

Falkland community consultation

Responses to the June to Sept 07 community consultation exercise, were gathered from

  • people lived in the village
  • those who had long standing links with the village (born, brought up or with relatives), and
  • those who were regular or first time visitors (from the UK, Europe, USA & Canada)

The questions asked were:
Q1  What do you like best about Falkland?
Q2  How could we make Falkland even better?

Some key themes emerged:

  • Amenities offered in the village, the nearby estate and the Lomonds were valued.
  • Atmosphere - the ethos and the culture of the village was appreciated.
  • The People - were seen as being friendly and welcoming.
  • The Place - and the sense of uniqueness were treasured.
