  1. Fife Athletics Club Hare & Tortoise Race: Giffordtown

    Sunday, 7th February, 2010

Are you feeling fit? Come and join in with Fife Athletic Club's Hare and Tortoise Mixed Relay Race! We especially welcome male and female mixed pairs. If you don't have a partner one will be allocated at registration.

The race consists of four laps of flat woodland trails in Heatherhall Woods. Each team member will run 2 identical laps of 2 miles. Junior teams may consist of up to four team members with each runner completing one lap (1 mile).

Open to all ages and abilities. Run as hard or as easy as you like.  Runners to be paired according to ability with a tortoise (slower runner) and a hare  (faster runner) in each team.  We would prefer runners to arrange their own pairings where possible (subject to scrutiny so bandits beware!)

All lap split times will be recorded.  Please try and arrive at the hall for 11.00am so that team numbers can be allocated before the race begins at 12.00pm.

Please bring water, gloves, hat etc. You will be required to complete a health questionnaire before the session and carry any necessary medication.
