Events 10th July 2009

Lily Allen and Scottish band Franz Ferdinand are among the latest additions to this year's event, due to be held at Balado, Kinross-shire, from July 10-12. They will join headline acts Blur, Kings of Leon, The Killers and Snow Patrol as well as Keane, Bloc Party, James, Paulo Nutini, The Script and Manic Street Preachers, as well as reformed ska favourites The Specials. In total, around 180 artists will perform on nine stages over three days of festival entertainment. See website for more.

Pillars of Hercules occasional restaurant will be continuing on Friday nights. The best of vegetarian food (plus a carnivorous option) served up in a congenial atmosphere with live jazz music. Tonight delicious seasonal food will be produced by local chef Christopher Trotter (we just love his cooking!). Set price menu is £28 per person (£30 for carnivores) inclusing 3 courses & coffee. We do not have a table licence but feel free to bring your own alcoholic drinks (no corkage charge). Pillars of Hercules.
