  1. East Neuk Festival

    For one long weekend, venues throughout the East Neuk of Fife play host to international musicians. Everything from churches to scout huts - and even a cave - act as venues for concerts, readings and more. Highlights for 2009 include pianist Christian Zacharias, the Leopold String Trio and Scottish Chamber Orchestra. Date: 1st - 5th July 2009 Various venues throughout East Fife
  2. The Big Tent - Call for Volunteers

    Big Tent Festival, 25th and 26th July, Falkland, Fife The Big Tent, Scotland’s Largest Eco Gathering is putting a call out to volunteers to help on the weekend of the 25th and 26th of July.

    Held in Falkland, Fife with backdrop of Falkland Palace and the Lomond Hills, the Big Tent is fast becoming an important festival in the summer’s events calendar and one not to be missed. 10,000 visitors are expected through the festival gates this year and we are looking for a number of volunteers to help out with such jobs as:

    • General Stewarding
    • Litter Picking
    • Ticket Desk
    • Lost Children
    • Workshop activities
    • And much, much more


    What you get in return:

    • A chance to enjoy the festival – for FREE. All volunteers will work in shifts, allowing time off to enjoy everything the festival offers
    • A dedicated staff and visitor camping area
    • A meal provided in the staff and volunteer café during your shift

  3. Freuchie Parish Church - Special Afternoon Tea

    This is the second of four special Wednesday teas this year. This one is a Raspberry Tea in support of church funds. The other teas are on 5 August and 2 September. Freuchie Parish Church

  4. Summer drama workshop

    Wednesday, 1st July, 2009

    Come along to drama workshops where you can learn different acting styles, how to use your voice, play games and have fun.

    The workshops are for anyone under the age of 18 and have proven to be a great confidence booster and great for building up your skills towards the pantomime, plus you get to have a laugh.

    This is the second in a series of five summer workshops organised by the Auchtermuchty Theatre Group.
