Bible Society Coffee Evening & Fundraiser
Friday, 1st February, 2008
Come along and help raise funds for victims of the Peruvian earthquake which caused debastation last August. There will be stalls and a raffle and the Clydebuilt Puppet theatre will provide entertainment. Donations can be handed to Robert Allison, 12 Skene Street or Sandy Rennie at 43 Cash Feus -the hall will also be open on Turs Jan 31st from 7pm to 7.30pm to receive donations. -
Quiz Night - Strathmiglo Bowling Club

Be quick...the best Strath brains have already amassed for this event in which the top two teams will go through to a final, thrilling buzzer round. Collessie Victory Hall Coffee Morning

Traditional Music Workshops (2)

The Auchtermuchty Festival Society in partnership with Elmwood College, is holding a series of traditional music workshops in the Auchtermuchty Town hall (not the community centre). Workshops offer tuition in guitar, fiddle, tin whistle, mouth organ and accordian. All adults and children from 8 upwards welcome to attend (an adult must accompany children under 10). -

Locals are being urged to attend a meeting on 20 Feb to find out how they can help combat the threat posed by climate change and peak oil production, which it's feared come be only a few years away. Transition towns and villages are a popular concept in england, but Scotland has only 2 so far - Portobello and Dunbar. The idea is that communities work together locally to find solutions. Organised by the Centre for Stewardship. -
