    Join us in the Auchtermuchty Church Hall for an indoor Boot Sale. Make some cash and clear out space for Christmas! On sale will be home baking, filled rolls, tea/coffee (therefore no food vendors please.) Tables cost £8 each and can be booked by phoning Liz on 01337 828386. Thanks
  3. Falkland Transition - Book Night 2 of 3

    A few folk interested in making Falkland a Transition Town meet regularly in the Stables Workshop (beside the car park by the fish pond). Following on from September's Movie Nights, we're having a series of Book Nights, when we will share some riveting reads on relevant themes – lots of inspiring stuff you may perhaps have heard of but never found the time to read: Tonight is the second meeting, the next is the 11th November, 7.30pm. Please come along and get involved. We are also planning guided walks and cycle rides to get to know each other and our local area, social nights with local food and drink, and to help with your gift-buying dilemmas, a pre-Christmas swop shop!

  5. Restaurant at the End of the World

    Pillars of Hercules occasional restaurant is opening again on Friday nights. Tonight delicious seasonal food will be produced by local chef Christopher Trotter. It's the best of vegetarian food (plus carnivorous option), all organic of course, served up in a congenial atmosphere with live jazz music. Set price menu is £28 per person (£30 for carnivores). 3 courses & coffee. We do not have a table licence but feel free to bring your own alcoholic drinks (no corkage charge).
