Ben Brangwyn, co-founder of the Transition network will be in Falkland to discuss the compelling rationale behind the Transition Network and the growing network of community-led initiatives that are responding to the twin threats of climate change and peak oil. We can do so much more together than we can do alone!

  12. Festival Christmas Fayre

    Come along and enjoy tea, coffee, mince pies and shortbread as well as cake, candy, fancy goods, soup, stovies, mulled wine and more! Santa will be in the Lower Town Hall to greet the children plus there will be street entertainment. Kids can enter the free lucky draw, the winner of which will be helping Santa to switch on the Christmas lights! Those wishing a stall should contact J Robertson on 828723
  13. Exhibition by Falkland Art Club

    Admission free. This is a show of recent work by aspiring artists from Sandra Davie's Art Class in Falkland. Beginners and the more advanced are encouraged to try watercolour, acrylics, oil and even some outdoor sketching. Inspiration is taken from elaborate still lifes and secondary resources such as photos from around Fife coastal paths. The exhibition runs until 22 December.

  17. Gateside Community Association AGM

    The AGM will be preceeded by a Committee Meeting at 7:00 p.m. A report on the recent refurbishment will be presented, together with plans for future projects. Support from the whole community is needed and we would welcome new faces who are willing to give some time to helping the Committee to realise these plans. Refreshments will be served.

    Come along to the annual Christmas Fayre. Stalls will include children's crafts, raffle, tombola, lucky dips, hand-made cards, games, cake and candy, plus Santa's Grotto. Donations for stalls should be handed to PTA members before the fayre. Cake and candy can be handed in from 11.30am on the 15th. All help appreciated. Admission £1 for adults, children under 12 free. Price includes tea, coffe and a Christmas treat.
