HOME BREW WORKSHOP

I'm holding a beginner's course in wine making on Sunday June 1st from 10am. Only 4 places available so book early What you will get from the 1 day course....... 1) 6 bottles of organic wine you made yourself 2) The knowledge to make as much wine/beer/cider as you want 3) Someone to contact afterwards to ask questions You will learn the art of brewing and understand the magical process of fermentation! You will also learn how to bottle and store your brew. Equipment needed for the course - 1 Gallon Demi-john, 1Kg Sugar, Bung + Air lock, Wine yeast, 2 lemons. (You can buy all the above off me for an extra £12) I'll provide the fruit and the water! Please contact me to book a place. Course Price - £36 (About the price of 6 bottles of wine!) Birnie Loch Open Day

Fun for all the family a this popular Nature Reserve's annual open day. Come and meet the Fife Ranger and find out more about what species make Birnie and Gaddon their home. There will be assorted displays, pond dipping, childrens activities and guided walks throughout the day. Dogs allowed. -
Collessie Gala Day

The annual Collessie Gala needs your support. Please consider contributing to our stalls -books, plants, cake and candy, bottle stalls. Please deliver to Nadia Black at Braehead or bring along on the day. Admission £1.50 for adults and 50p for kids (including tea/coffee and a scone!) The Gala is organised by the Collessie Victory Hall committee in aid of hall upkeep. Hope to see you there. (In the event of bad weather the gala will be held in the hall). -

Vintage Agricultural Machinery Rally

Enjoy a great day out for all the family at the 19th annual vintage rally of the Fife Vintage Agricultural Machinery Club. The theme this year is the 'Year of the Potato'. See for yourself the 300+ vintage tractors, stationary engines, machinery, cars, bikes, commercial equipment etc and enjoy auto-jumble, working displays, a craft tent, events ring featuring entertainment from the likes of the Cupar Bowmen, trade stands, refreshments and much more. Free parking. Entry Adults £5, OAPs £3, under 16s Free. -

Newburgh Highland Games & Boat Race
Friday, 20th June, 2008 — Saturday, 21st June, 2008
The Howe's close neighbour Newburgh has its annual boat race on the Tay on 20 June followed by a day of games and events in new venue, 'Robbies' Park on the 21st. On Fri 20th, the double handed Coble Boat race will be held on the usual site of the old Tayside Salmon Fisheries net drying green, near the public park. A unique event, with a long history in the town, the evening will start at 7pm with a flying display, and there's music, stalls and a beer tent. Sponsored by T Robertson & Son of Newburgh. The Highland Games day features traditional track events including running, cycling and youth races as well as hosting 2 cycling championships - the 4800m and the Youth 800m. There will be a junior solo piping competition as well as hammer throwing, weight over the bar and tossing the caber. Fintry Pipe band will be entertaining, with food and refreshment stalls in the games park. Car parking available. Come along and enjoy the fun. See website for more. British Show Pony Society Event

Come along and enjoy participating in or simply watching ponies compete in a series of show events in Victoria Park. An annual Ladybank favourite, that together with the Gymkhana provides a fitting end to festive celebrations. -
