  3. Fife Farmers Market - Cupar

    Cupar Farmers’ Market is held on the Third Saturday of every month. Likely producers include Iain Spink (Traditional Smokies From Arbroath), Puddledub Buffalo and Pork, Bellfield Organic Nursery, Caurnie Soap Co, Gartmorn Farm Poultry, Fletchers of Auchtermuchty and Hilton Wild Boar.   4. Winter Warmers - Towards a Sustainable Food System Now

    The second talk in Falkland Centre for Stewardship's Winter Warmers series. Charlie Clutterbuck is a research fellow at Department of Food Policy, City University and a member of the Food Ethics Council. He'll talk on: "What is Sustainable Food, Why we need it now, and Who should promote it". His website www.sustainablefood.com provides a resource for educators, students, managers and workers to promote food that is healthier for people & planet. There will be a Fife Diet supper available from 6pm with talk commencing at 7pm. Venue: Stables Workshop, Falkland Estate (bring a torch!) Price: £5 waged, £3 concession/unwaged. Booking essential.   5. Devil's Burden Relay Race - Fife Athletic Club

    Saturday, 24th January, 2009

    A relay race over 31 km consisting of 4 legs for teams of 6 (2 legs run in pairs). Registration will take place in the village hall from 8.30am onwards. The race will start at 10.00 am from the main cark at the Village Hall, Falkland. There are limited changing facilities and toilets at the village hall and none at the stage changeovers. After the finish soup and hot drinks will be available from Falkland Village Hall from 12.30 pm to 4.00 pm. For entry forms and more info, see website.
  6. Jimmy Shand Junior's Old Time Dance, Collessie

    Collessie Village hall plays host to another old time dance party with music from Jimmy Shand Junior. Tickets £4 each, available at the door.
