Halloween Party, Collessie
Saturday, 1st November, 2008
Creepy fun for all the family with all the favourites: a pumpkin lantern competition, prizes for the best fancy dress and story/joke, and of course dooking for apples and all the usual gooey fun! Pizza and stovies will be served but please bring along your own drinks. Juice available for chidren. Starts 7pm and aims to finish at 9pm. Adults £3, children £2. Organised by the Hall Committee and all proceeds will go to upkeep of the hall. -
Firewalk-Strathmiglo

A Firewalk is being led by Ellie Douglas, at Westbank Natural Health Centre, Strathmiglo, on the Celtic New Year's Day : 1st November. Enjoy this rare opportunity to visualise and manifest your dreams for the year ahead in an exceptionally powerful way...The ceremony starts at 6.30pm thru' till about 11pm. Ronnie Mackie, operational manager will share the story of how redundant farm buildings and loch ahve been developed into an ecology centre offreing a wide range of services to communities in Fife. Fife Jazz Club Concert

Jazz fans are in for a treat with this special concert at the Lomond Hills Hotel showcasing Scotland's best jazz performers and local talent too. Topping the bill is Dave Patrick, one of Scotland's best jazz pianists, playing with top American trumpeter Steve Fishwick and basist Micah Brashear. They will be supported by local Fife band Tempo de Groove and a group of local singers led by Glenrothes' own Grace Black (whose Cancer Research UK Charity will benefit from the club). Winter Warmers - Food Ethics Local and Global

The first talk in Falkland Centre for Stewardship's Winter Warmers series to launch the One Planet Food Programme. Helen Browning – “Organic Food and Climate Change.” Helen Browning OBE is food and farming director at the Soil Association and an organic farmer in north Wiltshire, where she is best known for sausages and bacon from her happy pigs. She also chairs the Food Ethics Council and the Animal Health and Welfare Implementation Group for England. There will be a supper available from 6pm with talk commencing at 7pm. Venue: Stables Workshop, Falkland Estate (bring a torch!) Price: £5 waged, £3 concession/unwaged. Booking essential. Please contact Lesley for more and to reserve places. -
Community Pub Night: The Travelling Transition Tavern

The second Community Pub Night from the Travelling Transition Tavern will take place at Giffordtown Village Hall on 28th November from 8pm till midnight. This follows the success of the first night at Collessie Village Hall in October. Come along and sample the excellent local beer from Luckie Ales, Cairn O'Mhor Wines and much more. If you play an instrument, bring it and join in the live session. Bring your friends and neighbours. 26th Nov - Stop press!!!
