The first in the series of Winter Talks begins on Oct 2nd when Tony Wilson of Fife Coast & Counryside Trust will highlight the development of Birnie & Gaddon Lochs at Collessie, from sand and gravel extraction to an award winning environmental and nationally important wildlife site. Pillars of Hercules occasional restaurant is opening again on Friday nights. Tonight delicious seasonal food will be produced by local chef Christopher Trotter. It's the best of vegetarian food (plus carnivorous option), all organic of course, served up in a congenial atmosphere with live jazz music. Satish is editor of Resurgence Magazine, which has been described as ‘the artistic and spiritual voice of the green movement’. He is founder and Director of Schumacher College as well as an internationally acclaimed author and speaker. Satish will deliver a lecture that focuses on our lost links with food and the impact it has on climate change.
