Collessie Community Council Meeting

2nd meeting of the new community council. Volunteers are needed to join the the re-invigorated garden sub-group. The Collessie Common sub group is also reforming and seeking volunteers. So please come along and get involved in your village's future. -
Essential Scottish Opera

Cheer yourself up on a night out with some of opera's freshest talent. Four young and dynamic singers are bringing Esential Scottish Opera to Strathmiglo Village Hall, giving you a chance to experience live opera close up during a relaxed and informal evening. The show features a mixture of operatic styles including old favourites from Carmen, La Traviata and Rigoletto as well as music by Mozart, Britten & Bernstein. There's something for everyone whether you're new to Opera or an old hand. Tickets £10 (£8 for under 16). Burns Night Whisky Tasting

'Birdwatching for Beginners' guided walks

RSPB Vane Farm near Kinross is holding two 'Birdwatching for Beginners' guided walks. The first, on Sat 26th at 11am is for adults only, while at 2pm there is a walk for all the family. The walks co-incide with the RSPB's annual 'Big Garden Birdwatch' and participants will learn all about the habitats garden birds prefer, what they like to eat and the best ways to provide homes for wildlife in your garden. Booking is essential by calling the Vane Farm visitor centre on 01577 862355 between 10am and 5pm.
