You are invited to visit up to 32 artists, designers and makers in their studios in the North of Fife (including Auchtermuchty, Dunshelt, Falkland, Collessie, Giffordtown, Ladybank) and discuss methods, inspirations and commissions with them directly. This is the third Open Studios Fife event and we're delighted to include access to more talented artists and makers than ever before. There's outstanding talent on our doorstep, and this opportunity to meet these artists and makers first-hand is a unique way to explore the landscape and the community. Collessie Village hall plays host to another old time dance party with music from Jimmy Shand Junior. Tickets £4 each, available at the door.

A warm invite is extended to all to attend a musical evening presented by the Merchiston Close Harmony Choir and Merchiston Pipe and Drum Band. A retiring collection will be taken.

Fife Agriculatural Association present the Fife Show - fun for all the family. This year’s Show includes all the elements of a traditional agricultural show including pedigree and commercial cattle and sheep classes, goats, food marquee, and home produce. There will be classes for pets and dogs (entries taken on the day). There are also over 100 light and heavy horse showing classes and BSJA show jumping, including several Highland Show qualifiers (entries taken on the day). The Show also features a Game Fair, large trade stand section, including agricultural machinery, saddlery, quality Scottish crafts. There will be a children’s activity marquee and a food and cookery marquee. The award winning film 'The Power of Community' will be screened in Letham Village Hall followed by discussion looking at positive community responses to Peak Oil and Climate Change. This evening preceds similar 'film and discussion' evenings in Collessie and Giffordtown, looking at the serious issue of imminent declining oil supplies worldwide and how this will affect us all.
