Halloween Party, Collessie
Saturday, 1st November, 2008
Creepy fun for all the family with all the favourites: a pumpkin lantern competition, prizes for the best fancy dress and story/joke, and of course dooking for apples and all the usual gooey fun! Pizza and stovies will be served but please bring along your own drinks. Juice available for chidren. Starts 7pm and aims to finish at 9pm. Adults £3, children £2. Organised by the Hall Committee and all proceeds will go to upkeep of the hall. -
Ladybank Forest Users Group: Winter Talks Programme

Ronnie Mackie, operational manager will share the story of how redundant farm buildings and loch ahve been developed into an ecology centre offreing a wide range of services to communities in Fife. NCT Children's Toys & Books Sale

You'll be able to buy and sell children's toys, clothes, books, baby equipment and maternity clothes. N.Howe Transition Toun: Preparing for a Changing Future

The North Howe Transition Toun have been active this year, hosting a series of awareness raising events looking at possible effects of peak oil and climate change on the local community. There's growing interest from local people who want to get actively involved in practical projects to help us prepare for a changing future, and this public meeting at Letham Village Hall is the next stage in forming action groups to take ideas forward and develop specific projects. All welcome. -

Community Pub Night: The Travelling Transition Tavern

The second Community Pub Night from the Travelling Transition Tavern will take place at Giffordtown Village Hall on 28th November from 8pm till midnight. This follows the success of the first night at Collessie Village Hall in October. Come along and sample the excellent local beer from Luckie Ales, Cairn O'Mhor Wines and much more. Howe of Fife Rotary Club Ceilidh

Members of the Rotary Club of the Howe of Fife look forward to welcoming visitors to their annual Christmas Ceilidh on Saturday 29 November, in Strathmiglo Village Hall. Doors open at 7.30pm.; tickets cost £10, which includes supper and dancing to the Bert Pozzi band. Tickets can be obtained either by contacting Club Service Chairman, Dennis Beattie, on 01337 840480, or at the venue on the night. All proceeds of the ceilidh will be added to the club's charity funds, for use in projects at home and abroad.
