Ditch the car for Big Tent & win!

From Big Tent Festival, Monday, 22nd June, 2009

Fancy leaving the car at home this year?

Sustrans and Big Tent 2009 are giving 20 fantastic Sustrans t-shirts away to the festival goers who have travelled the furthest sustainably to the Big Tent 2009!

Win a space invaders tee (sorry cute guy not included!)So, if you travel to the festival by foot, bike, train, bus or a mixture of them all, you're in for a chance of a fabulous Sustrans chopper or space invaders t-shirt!

All you have to do is come to the Sustrans tent at the festival and show us on our map where you travelled from and how.

And for one lucky person who has travelled the furthest in the most sustainable way, they will win a copy of all of Sustrans Scotland maps and guidebooks, including a t-shirt.

We have been working with our partners at Stagecoach and Friends of the Earth Fife to make it easier than ever to leave the car at home and come on foot, bike, train or atleast to share your car.

There are three great ways to get to the Big Tent in a more sustainable way:

By Train - see the Scotrail website for timetables of trains from Edinburgh and Dundee to Markinch.

There will be a free local bus service to bring festival-goers to Big Tent from the train station at Markinch.

By Bike - We are delighted to announce that our Cycle Park and Clinic will be operated by our friends from Bikeworks. The cycle park at Big Tent is located in the visitors car park - very close to the entrance gate and there will be facilities available to secure your cycle.

By Bus - There will be a free local bus service to bring festival-goers to Big Tent from the train station at Markinch, which come from Glenrothes bus station, and a service from St Andrews alongside the existing local services.
