Letham Nights Goes Down Under!

We are delighted to announce that our wee venue continues to attract interest from around the globe!

First it was the Black Oil Brothers from Chicago who contacted us to come and play whilst on their UK tour.

Chloe Hall Trio, Letham date TBC Now we have had a request from the Chloe Hall Trio, a folk outfit from Oz, who have already made a big impact in Australia and Canada. We are currently in discussion with Chloe (who thought our venue looked like a fantastic place to play) and hope that she will be with us in September.

"After a couple of years of glowing recommendations from people in the know I finally was able to invite Chloe Hall to be a part of this year's Newstead Live! music festival in January.

She took the opportunity to debut her brand new trio, and they drew the festival audience in with uplifting 3-part harmony, combining a reverence for Chloe's songwriting with an infectious playfulness and sense of joy.

This is an exciting new group on the alternative fringe of the Australian folk scene, but their combined years of experience shines through. Chloe, Chris and Teal are obviously having a ball on stage, and it's this energy, together with the strength of the music, that will win them fans wherever they go.

They generate smiles as soon as they play, with their winning combo of heart, humour and great musicianship. Running the gamut of emotions from joyous and hopeful through melancholy to brooding and political, Chloe's songs carry the audience on a real journey. Now that she has added a cracking rhythm section to her already full guitar arrangements, new angles on her tunes are revealed, not least via beautiful three part harmonies.

This fresh new act was high on the lists of many people's favourites at this year's festival”
