Scotland’s Gardens Scheme (SGS), a registered charity created in 1931, raises funds for other worthy charities by facilitating the opening of large and small gardens of horticultural interest throughout Scotland to the public. The many privately owned gardens that open for the scheme are its backbone, very few are accessible to the public at other times and they include a wide selection of Scotland's most beautiful properties. This weekend Barham, in Bow of Fife is opening for all to enjoy. It is a small woodland garden with rhododendrons, spring bulbs, trilliums and ferns. Also a summer garden with herbaceous borders and island beds. Admission is £3.50, 40% goes to Pain Association Scotland and 60% to Scotland's Gardens Scheme. A rare opportunity to enjoy Sir Robert & Lady Spencer-Nairn's garden. See website for more.
