    Join in a day of medieval themed activities at Monimail Tower. With crafts, stalls, music, games and demonstrations.The Orchard and house will be open and there will be food for sale. Suggested donation £5.

    Fantastic new live music event! Idlewild are playing at this live outdoor music event in support of Friends of the Earth Scotland. Very happy too to have Wolfstone and The Stars from The Commitments on board plus The Hazey Janes and recently added to the bill are Sergeant and State of Affairs which completes the festival line up.   6. Auchtermuchty Fife Station Charity Car Wash

    National Car Wash, the Firefighters Charity, hopes to raise funds by washing as many cars as possible on Sat 13th Spetember at Auchtermuchty Fife Station. National Car Wash has supported over 13,500 men, women and children from the fire community in the last twelve months. Let us was your car, and we can help even more.

  8. Film Screening: 'The 11th Hour'

    The North Howe Transition Toun group is organising a screening of the award winning film, 'The 11th Hour' in Collessie Village Hall. Hear the world's leading experts on climate change in Leonardo Dicaprio's passionate plea for action. Come and see this film and be part of the solution. there will be an opportunity for discussion following the film. All welcome.

    A planning appeal regarding the site at Braehead, Collessie Brae, will take place at 10am. Mt Michael thomson has been appointed to conduct the hearing. Open to the public.
  10. Fife Farmers Market - Cupar

    Cupar Farmers’ Market is held on the Third Saturday of every month. Likely producers include Iain Spink (Traditional Smokies From Arbroath), Puddledub Buffalo and Pork, Bellfield Organic Nursery, Caurnie Soap Co, Gartmorn Farm Poultry, Fletchers of Auchtermuchty and Hilton Wild Boar.   11. Friends of Collessie Church Annual Art Exhibition

    We will be holding our annual art exhibition on Saturday 20th September from 1pm to 4pm and on Sunday 21st September from 11am to 4pm. Refreshments will be available in the Village on both days.
  12. Doors Open Day - Monimail Tower

    Doors Open Days give you free access to hundreds of fascinating buildings across Scotland. Members of the public are encouraged to come and explore this restored 16th century tower, the main remnant of the medieval palace of the Archbishops of St Andrews. Four storeys high with wide views from the roof. This year there will be local trained guides on site to take you around points of interest in Monimail's historic landscape. Tea and cakes available for sale as well as medieval crafts pottery, metalwork and apple pressing for cider making. Exhibition on history and restoration of the tower.
  13. Doors Open Day - Collessie Guided Walk

    Doors Open Days give you free access to hundreds of fascinating buildings across Scotland. This weekend it's your turn to explore places in Collessie that are normally closed to the public. The walk departs from the Village Hall at 2pm, and takes in Melville Tomb, the old post Office, early school building and the oldest thatched cottage in the village. Followed by teas and art courtesey of the Friends of Collessie Church. Come along and make the most of this rare chance to discover the heritage on your doorstep!

    Doors Open Days give you free access to hundreds of fascinating buildings across Scotland. Come along and hear what restorers of this crow stepped 18th century lectern doocot, the Cupar & North Fife Preservation Society, have to say about the doocots history. The doocot is half-way up School Brae on the right. Please park at the foot of School Brae.

    Doors Open Days give you free access to hundreds of fascinating buildings across Scotland. Unusual doocot, being a converted windmill. Cylindrical in form with sloping crow-stepped top added when converted from grinding corn to house pigeons. Heritage Lottery Funded restoration by Cupar and North Fife Preservation Society. car parking in the farm track, just west of the doocot.

  20. Eco-Renovating Your Home

    The North Howe Transition Toun Group is organising an event to look at practical steps to reduce carbon emissions and fuel bills in the home. There will be a presentation by Pamela McLean about the Eco-renovation Network and its House Doctor events in Stirling and Crispin Hayes (Centre for Human Ecology) and Neil Stoddart (RealTech - renewable energy company) will share their eco-renovation knowledge & experience. There will also be information available on grants for eco-renovation projects. Please come along.
