    The Rotary Club of the Howe of Fife recently handed over a cheque for £500 to six former Newburgh Primary School pupils. This will help them to participate in a trip to Italy in January, at the invitation of the Italian Star Association.

    The north east Fife area committee meeting at Cupar agreed unanimously to support an application by the council's education service for a synthetic pitch measuring about 37 metres by 77 metres in the school grounds.
