St Andrews Botanic Garden - winter interest

Discover St Andrews Botanic Garden in winter.
See plants differently in the crisp, clear light of January:
- Winter flowers of witch hazel, viburnum, sarcococca, mahonia.
- Winter bark, birches, cherries, maples.
- Tracery and textures, shape and form of grasses, shrubs and trees
- Conifers and evergreens focal points and shelter
- Retreat to winter warmth, glasshouse collections from around the world, orchids to desert lands.
- Wildlife, fox tracks in the snow, birds from pheasant to kingfisher.

As well as this, why not attend an Art Workshop in the garden?
A series of workshops is being planned for Summer 2010 to be held in the Botanic Garden. Details will be finalised early in 2010 when it is hoped to include the following:
- Drawing Days:
- Scale, Structure and Form;
- Considering Colour;
- Texture and Line.
- Working with willow.
