  10. Major new music festival coming to Elmwood College

    MEMORIES of 'T in the Park' are set to be revived soon as Cupar gears up for its very own music festival. Some 5000 fans are expected to descend on the grounds of Elmwood College on September 6 for 'Elmwoodstock', an ambitious one-day event headlined by some of Scotland's most popular bands.

  18. C Diff cases rise in Fife

    The number of Fife cases of the hospital superbug C Diff rose to 134 during the first quarter of the year. The prevalence of the deadly infection had increased from 123 cases between October and December 2007 according to statistics recently released by Health Protection Scotland.

    Fife Council has been officially awarded five European blue-flag awards for its clean beaches. The Leven East beach was handed the accolade for the first time, with flags also going to Aberdour, Burntisland, Elie Harbour and St Andrews west sands.

    In the run up to the Festival, the festival shop is now open in Auchtermuchty Town Hall from 10.00am to 12 noon on Saturday mornings and 5.00pm to 7.00pm Wednesday evenings, selling tickets for all events and festival T-shirts, sweatshirts, polo shirts etc..
  27. Fife rail disruption Friday 4 July - Monday 7 July
