  1. Auchtermuchty Common Volunteer Day

    Join the Macduff Trust to help clear unwanted scrub and maintain our valuable resource. Meet at Newburgh Road car park. Equipment will be provided but you're welcome to provide your own.

  3. Rural debate

    Thursday, 6th March, 2008 — Wednesday, 6th February, 2008

    Jim McLaren, president of NFU Scotland will be the keynote speaker at a rural discussion in St Andrews next month. Mr McLaren will address Pagan Osborne & CKD Galbraith's annual rural and business seminar before joining a Q&A sesion for what is expected to be a lively debate. Topical issues are likely to include capital gains tax, land prices and agricultural landlord and tenant issues. Places are limited, so please contact Sian Williamson (see below) to reserve a place.
  4. Jayfors Reunion

    Friday, 7th March, 2008

    A reunion for all Jayfor Factory workers from Muchty & Strath will be held on Friday March 7th at Muchty Bowling Club. Ticjets £2 each to cover buffet. All ex-employees welcome.
  5. Traditional Music Workshops (4)

    Sunday, 9th March, 2008

    The Auchtermuchty Festival Society in partnership with Elmwood College, is holding a series of traditional music workshops in the Auchtermuchty Town Hall (not the Community Centre). Workshops offer tuition in guitar, fiddle, tin whistle, mouth organ and accordian. All adults and children from 8 upwards welcome to attend (an adult must accompany children under 10).

  8. Unique Scottish Community Drama: The 3 Buckhaveneers

    A rare treat - the best of Scottish Community Drama - 3 plays in 1 night! See plays by our own Auchtermuchty Theatre Group (runners-up in this year's Scottish Community Drama Associations Competition in Buckhaven); plus two other entrants, The Orwell Players and the Leslie Amateur Dramatic Group. The Auchtermuchty Theatre Group will perform 'Any Thane Goes', a play written by Nora Brown (who was brought up in Muchty). The Orwell Players will perform 'Come Tomorrow' by Ian Munro and the Leslie Amateur Dramatic Group will show 'Blue Suede Blues' By Dianne Raffle. Tickets will be on sale from Saturday 1st March, £6 / £4 conc. Please call Steven on 01337 828723, for more. The Auchtermuchty entry in the Buckhaven competition won second place, and have gone through to the divisional finals in Kelso. Go the ATG!
  9. Fife Farmers Market - Cupar

    Cupar Farmers’ Market is held on the Third Saturday of every month. Likely producers include Iain Spink (Traditional Smokies From Arbroath), Puddledub Buffalo and Pork, Bellfield Organic Nursery, Caurnie Soap Co, Gartmorn Farm Poultry, Fletchers of Auchtermuchty and Hilton Wild Boar.   10. St Patrick's Night Hooley

    Dunshalt Village hall proudly presents the Rockin' Ceilidh Duo - dance and ceilidh convcert with Bob Aimer and Chic Henderson. In aid of Rachel House Children's Hospice in Kinross. Tickets for sale at Dunshalt Post Office £5 each. Raffle with great prizes drawn on the night. Bring your own nibbles and drinks.
  12. Marie Curie Daffodil Coffee Morning
