  4. Auchtermuchty Public Inquiry into Windfarm

    Auchtermuchty Landscape and Environment (ALE) chair David White urges residents to attend the six day public inquiry to demonstrate their opposition to plans to build a windfarm close to their homes. Only those who have registered their intention to speak may do so, but the proceedings are open to the public. the inquiry rund from Tues to Fri and resumes on Tue 22nd until wed 23rd Jan.
  5. Essential Scottish Opera

    Cheer yourself up on a night out with some of opera's freshest talent. Four young and dynamic singers are bringing Esential Scottish Opera to Strathmiglo Village Hall, giving you a chance to experience live opera close up during a relaxed and informal evening. The show features a mixture of operatic styles including old favourites from Carmen, La Traviata and Rigoletto as well as music by Mozart, Britten & Bernstein. There's something for everyone whether you're new to Opera or an old hand. Tickets £10 (£8 for under 16). Advance booking highly recommended. Any remaining tickets will be available for sale at the door. Doors open 30 minutes prior to performance beginning.
