Ian Laing who some of you may have known well in his 2009 role as Community Officer is now NE Fife's Wildlife & Environmental Crime Officer.

These officers make regular contact with the Community Councils, Schools, landlords, businesses etc in each area with a view to addressing their concerns.

Please note that whilst there are police based at Auchtermuchty 24-hours a day, they are often out in the community. We can only guarantee face-to-face contact when the office is manned, Mon-Fri 9am to 5pm.

The 2nd Auchtermuchty police engagement meeting, introduced by Fife Constabulary to enable you to discuss issues with officers face to face, is on 6 May 2010, 7pm at Auchtermuchty Town Hall (& not Tues as was reported in the Fife Herald).
